The Regulations of Participating in The Festival Competition
 


Festival's Aim

The Egyptian Association for Art of Cinema organizes the 9th Oscar International Video Clip Festival from 25 to 28 July, 2008, in HURGHADA Resort , Red sea , Egypt
Under supporting of ministry of Culture , tourism and Red sea Governor.

The festival contribute in developing the video clip, where the most famous stars of songs & music in Egypt and Foreign and Arab Countries are attending its activities, specially after the internationally confession by International FIDOF Organization, affiliated to UNESCO of this festival , which gives the opportunity to participate worldwide.

The festival management is pleased to invite all artistes and creators in foreign countries to participate with their illustrate songs "Video Clip".
 

Prizes of Festival
Prizes (Oscar Statue & Appreciation Certificates) will be specialized for the Producer, Singers (M.&.F) Author, Director, Photographer, the Melodist and Musical Distributor. Also, the festival will reward some of the singing & music symbols, who have given artistic and TV stations.
 

To participate.
For participating  in The Festival Competition, Please send the Entry Form and participating Fees:
 

The value of participating fees will be paid by the following way :-

  1. A Bank transfer for the value through Suez Canal Bank - Giza Branch- Egypt - Account of " Video Clip festival" Account No 21390/0.
  2. Money transfer threw "WESTERN UNION" To our address.
  3. A copy of the transfer with the attached participation form is sent to the festival management address.
Terms of Participating in The Competition:
  1. Producer, Singers (M.&.F.), Author, Photographer, Melodist, Director and Musical Distributor have the right to participate in the competition.
  2. The song's time should not exceed 5 minutes with exclusive of the unique works.
  3. Any artist has the right to proceed with more that one work in the previous branches.
  4. Any Video Clip that has participated previously in competitions festivals will be ignored.
  5. The following requirements will be attached with the participation form:
    1. The participation fee which is un-refundable, even if he did not choose the Video Clip to enter the competition.
    2. (2) copies of Video Clip  V.H.S tape  and  DVD should be tested before sending  (For Arbitration Committee Members) & 2 copies of CD  with an outline about the Video Clip subject and the song's words script.
    3. Tape should be Cleary  recorded , tested and in a good condition.
    4. 2 recent  photos & outline about his artistic and his previous production to be published in the festival catalogue and for media.
    5. Copy of passport.
    6. Deadline of receiving the participation forms and the Video Clip tape , DVD ,and V.H.S on 15/5/2008.
    7. Deadline of receiving fees on 1-6-2008
  6. The winning singer (M.&F) will act his selects song on the theatre during the finishing party.
  7. Committee of Arbitration has the right to prevent any of prizes, giving it mutually or granting a private prizes.
  8. As for Foreign Singers (M&F) that their works will be selected to participate in the festival competition, the festival management will bear accommodation
  9. Tapes will be sent by Express Mail ARAMEX Courier.
  10. All works that will submitted to the festival management through the following:
